Normafa offers a variety of activities in all seasons. In winter, skiers and snowboarders of the capital flood the hillside if there is enough snowfall. Sledging and cross-country skiing is also popular. When the weather gets warmer, Normafa and its environs are a favourite destination for nature-loving families. As it is easily accessible from the city centre with bus n° 21, it is an ideal start for light walks into the city or excursions in the Buda Hills either on foot or by bicycle.

The natural beauty of the area offers magnificent recreational time to anyone. Not far away from Normafa, the Tündér-hegy (Fairy Hill), the Szabadság-hegy (Liberty Hill), the Harang-völgy and the Csillag-völgy (Bell Valley, Star Valley) and the Disznófo-forrás (Wildboar Spring) are excellent walking or cycling destinations throughout the year.
